Class Schedule & Important Dates

Parent Meetings & Family Eventsare a staple of Religious Education Programs. These are conducive to community building, prayer, sacramental formation, and program information.

  • Catechetical SundaySunday, September 15, 2024, at 9 am- A day when every parish in the United States celebrates each person’s role, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. We will celebrate Catechetical Sunday at St. Zachary during the 9 am Mass. Catechists, parents, and students will receive a special blessing. ALL families in our program are invited to encouraged to join us for this Mass as we worship together.
  • Opening Meeting – Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 6 pm – ALL students and their parents should be in attendance for this meeting. While students meet their catechists, Mrs. Marta Robak and Fr. Tony will speak with all parents about the new initiatives in our program and review our safety protocols. Parents will have a chance to ask questions, pick up any forms they still need to turn in, and learn about volunteer opportunities in the program and how their children can be more involved within the church.
  • Program Masses5:40 – 6:20 pm – Program Masses happen 4 times throughout the year on Wednesdays. Students in the 4:30 start session will end class early to join for Mass and students from the 6:15 session should expect to arrive at 5:40 on the scheduled days. A guest speaker will be present during class time for our parent/family enrichment session.
  • Family Masses – Once a month on a Sunday at 9 am – These Masses are monthly, and each month is dedicated to a different grade level. Students from that represented grade level will participate in active roles in the Mass, such as reading, bringing up gifts, or saying the payers of faithful. It’s a way to involve children in the worship experience, make them feel more connected to their faith, and allow families to celebrate together.
